Yay! That's so exciting! What is Graeter's, btw? Will it be a fun job or will it be an "so long as I get a paycheck" job? I have given up on ever finding the first one. I have a good lead on one of the seccond sort though!

Good luck!

Graeter's is an ice cream company--it's kind of a Columbus landmark. Yes, I think this will be a fun job. It's a small company, and I'll be allowed to make a lot of decisions and learn a lot. They hired me because they thought my attitude fit with their company. They wanted a person and not an impersonal expert, which is what I like about them.

tee hee

ps carrie, I'll see what I can do.

Ooh, that sounds like fun! What is the job, exactly? Is it working in a store or in an office? I miss working in a store. I know that's strange, but it's true. I liked helping people, and I liked the flexible hours.

I'll actually be working in the corporate office doing a whole bunch of things--marketing, human resources, general clerical work, and helping out in the stores in a pinch. What I like about the job is that they're giving me a lot of leeway in decision-making, and I feel like I'll be able to learn a lot of skills I'll need later on, like better computer skills, and I'll get an idea of how a small company is run. I could go anywhere from this position.

I don't think I could work in a store full time again. While I understand what you mean about liking to help people and liking a flexible schedule, I'm getting horribly tired of bitchy customers and not being off when the rest of the world is.
